Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanour. Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop sales skills and gain valuable experience within a vibrant retail environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products
- Provide knowledgeable advice on products and services to meet customer needs
- Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately handle transactions
- Maintain the organisation and presentation of merchandise on the shop floor
- Restock shelves and ensure stock levels are adequate throughout the shift
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times
- Support team members in achieving sales targets and store objectives
- Participate in stocktaking activities and assist with inventory management
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy periods
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is desirable but not mandatory
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm for retail, and a professional appearance
