Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week – additional hours might be required on occasion
Working Pattern: Any 5 days out of 7 (to include weekends as required)
Salary: £27,870 per annum
Job Purpose
To support the hotel’s refurbishment programme by delivering high-quality bathroom and bedroom installations, while contributing to the effective day-to-day operation of the Maintenance Department within a four-star hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out complete bathroom refurbishments, including plumbing, tiling and sanitary ware installation
- Undertake bedroom upgrade works, including:
- Installation of fitted furniture and desk units
- Wardrobe storage modifications
- Minor electrical enhancements
- Complete all carpentry and finishing works to a high professional standard appropriate to a four-star hotel
- Carry out minor electrical works where required
- Support the Maintenance Team with:
- Reactive maintenance tasks
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintain high standards of workmanship whilst minimising disruption to hotel guests and operations
- Work flexibly in response to room access restrictions due to hotel occupancy
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and tidy condition
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as a bathroom and/or bedroom fitter
- Strong plumbing, tiling and carpentry skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality finishes
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Desirable:
- Electrical qualification or experience carrying out minor electrical works
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality or customer-focused environment

- This role requires flexibility to support the wider Maintenance Department
