Grail Engineering is a engineering and manufacturing company looking for a reliable and motivated 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service, enjoys being on the road, and is committed to delivering goods safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle to deliver engineering products and materials to customers and sites.
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers.
- Assist with warehouse duties when required, including loading, stock movement, and general housekeeping.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and road transport regulations.
- Complete weekly vehicle checks on our fleet
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence with Category C1 (7.5T entitlement).
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of UK road regulations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good level of physical fitness, as manual handling is involved.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Desirable
- Previous experience delivering engineering, construction, or industrial products.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
