Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while working closely with children to support their growth and learning.
Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
- Supervise and support children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Lead by example in demonstrating best practices in childcare, management, and leadership within the team.
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and special events as required.
- Assist with the organisation of staff rotas and support less experienced team members in their professional development.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Demonstrable knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Previous management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in managing behaviour positively and supporting children's individual needs.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending external activities.

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,502.75 per year
