Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure food is prepared efficiently, accurately, and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation during busy service periods to support the culinary team
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Serve food to customers or assist with plating as required
- Support other kitchen staff in various tasks to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant setting is desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or related roles within hospitality environments is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills
