Responsible for overseeing kitchen operations during shift, ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff during the shift.
- Assign tasks and coordinate workflow among cooks and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to recipes and standards.
- Monitor food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Check ingredient stock levels and communicate inventory needs.
- Train and support new team members.
- Handle operational issues and resolve staff or production problems during the shift.
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain productivity and meet service-time targets.
- Complete opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
