At Lyndhurst Residential Care Home we are looking for a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting and ensuring the smooth functioning of our kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with various tasks as needed, such as chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and stocking supplies
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and labelling of ingredients
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
