Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of large-scale AI systems, including LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and evaluation frameworks.
- Design robust backend systems utilizing cloud services such as AWS to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of AI applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into production environments using tools like TensorFlow, Python, and Spark.
- Develop data pipelines for big data processing using Hadoop, Spark, and SQL to facilitate efficient data mining and model training workflows.
- Implement database design strategies to support high-performance storage and retrieval of model data, logs, and evaluation metrics.
- Optimize machine learning models through rigorous evaluation techniques, leveraging R, SAS, VBA, and other statistical tools for performance tuning.
- Conduct research on natural language processing (NLP) techniques to enhance AI capabilities in understanding and generating human language.
- Write efficient code in Java, C, Bash (Unix shell), and Python to automate workflows and manage system operations seamlessly.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies to continuously improve platform capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in AI engineering with a focus on large language models (LLMs), RAG systems, or similar NLP applications.
- Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS for deploying scalable AI solutions.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow; experience with data mining techniques is essential.
- Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, C, Bash scripting; familiarity with VBA is a plus.
- Proven ability to design and optimize database systems using SQL; experience with database design principles is required.
- Hands-on experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and related tools for data processing at scale.
- Solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP), evaluation methodologies for AI models, and backend system architecture.
- Familiarity with SAS statistical software for advanced analytics; knowledge of R is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
