Linthorpe Beds have an excellent opportunity driver/warehouse operative to join our growing and dedicated team at our distribution centre in Stockton. We are a family run business with 2 retail stores and 2 fast growing websites. We work with some of the best brands within our industry and have been both winner and finalists for ‘bed retailer of the year’ and ‘retail champion of the year’ for the past 5 years respectively. We pride ourselves on our strong customer focus whilst always striving for professional excellence.
This dual position role, involves supporting daily warehouse functions, including receiving, picking and dispatching a range of beds, mattresses, and furniture around the Northeast, moving stock between our warehouse and showrooms, and delivering and assembling our product to our customers showing a high level of customer service. Physical strength and dexterity are essential to the role due to the size and weight of goods being handled.
· Unload and store deliveries from suppliers into our warehouse
· Pick and load vehicles for outgoing deliveries
· Delivery and assembly of goods into customers property whilst providing a high level of customer service.
· Taking responsibility of keeping company vehicles and workspaces clean and tidy.
· Ensure all jobs are completed in good time whilst ensuring processes are followed.
· Assist the warehouse team in general warehouse duties.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery driver role.
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Must be over 25 years of age due to insurance purposes.
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Assembly experience (preferred)
- Ability to lift bulky & heavy items and perform physical tasks (essential for moving large and heavy furniture)
- A positive and professional attitude towards work, colleagues, and customers.
Working pattern and pay:
5 days out of 6 (Monday – Saturday)
8-hour shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.21-£13.71 per hour
