Overview
Plates is a brand new restaurant occupying the space left by the much loved Gingerman restaurant.
Plates will be serving high end food, cocktails and a fully English wine list to our guests with great music in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Due to open late August we are recruiting for a second in command to assist our Manager in the day to day running of the 32 cover restaurant.
This will be a small team and we are looking for someone who has expierience in a similar relaxed fine dining environment.
Duties
- Assist in supervising daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow from kitchen to table
- Support food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of culinary excellence
- Oversee food safety protocols and food production procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and ensure a memorable dining experience
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely food delivery and proper presentation
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead diverse staff members effectively
- Experience in food safety practices and food production processes
- Familiarity with restaurant service procedures, including serving and barista tasks is a plus
- Previous hotel or culinary experience enhances understanding of hospitality dynamics
- Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and engage guests

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
