Expect a curated wine list, punchy cocktails, and a simple, elegant menu built and delivered with real attention to detail.
We have both Part Time and Full Time positions available.
Job Overview
As a Bartender at Barbette you will be required to server guests in a busy service to a high standard whilst having the crucial role of welcoming guests into our space for them to feel comfortable. The role will suit someone with a passion for wine, authentic presence and looking for a further career in hospitality!

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing friendly, professional, and efficient bar service throughout every shift.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to company specifications, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks, confidently making recommendations and upselling where appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar area, completing all opening, closing, and cleaning duties to a high standard.
- Process orders accurately using the EPOS system, handling cash and card transactions in line with company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service and an exceptional guest experience.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock using FIFO principles, replenish supplies, and minimise wastage through effective stock control.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, allergen awareness, responsible alcohol service, and licensing regulations.
- Respond professionally to guest requests, feedback, and complaints, resolving issues promptly or escalating where appropriate.
- Support the team during busy service periods by maintaining pace, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is desirable; cocktail-making experience is advantageous, although full training will be provided.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
- A passion for wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Professional appearance in accordance with the restaurant's uniform policy, with the ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting stock, and working in a busy environment.
- A positive, reliable, and flexible approach, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- A team player who is eager to learn, develop, and contribute to a high-performing hospitality team.
Pay: £12.81-£14.81 per hour
