Role Overview:
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant (SHCA), you will play a vital leadership role in our care team. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will lead by example, providing compassionate, high-quality care while supervising and coaching healthcare assistants. You will also ensure compliance with policies, advocate for residents, and support the smooth running of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exemplary healthcare assistant duties, promoting person-centred care.
- Supervise and coach HCAs, conducting supervisions, competency reviews, and inductions for new and agency staff.
- Assist with care planning, audits, and home management tasks.
- Support Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to observe and provide care to residents
- Engage with residents, families, and medical professionals to ensure high levels of satisfaction and well-being.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of St Anne’s policies and care best practices.
