Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Worcestershire who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their growing Business Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Semi Senior, Accounts Assistant or QBE practice professional looking for a varied role covering both accounts preparation and taxation work. The firm is seeking a practical and commercially minded individual who enjoys working closely with clients rather than someone solely focused on professional exams.
You will work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, sole traders and limited companies, providing a broad range of accounting and tax services within a supportive and friendly practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing personal and corporate tax computations and returns
- Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
- Assisting with management accounts preparation where required
- Liaising directly with clients and handling day-to-day queries
- Supporting senior team members with client portfolio management
- Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts and completing tax-related work
- AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work well within a team
