NRE Services Ltd is looking for motivated people to join our growing utility arboriculture team, from those starting out in the industry to experienced Utility Arborists looking for their next opportunity. Working across Kent and the surrounding areas, you’ll help deliver essential vegetation management works on behalf of Distribution Network Operators, keeping trees and vegetation safely clear of overhead power lines and electrical infrastructure.
This is a varied, hands-on role where safety, teamwork and high standards matter. You’ll be part of a professional and supportive team, using a mix of traditional arboricultural skills and modern machinery to complete works safely, efficiently and to a high standard. For the right candidates, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain further experience and progress within a respected and growing company.
Candidates must also be able to pass a DBS check and periodic drug and alcohol testing where required.
Preferred Skills
- A full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant chainsaw qualifications, such as NPTC or LANTRA.
- A good understanding of arboricultural practices and safe working procedures.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- A reliable, professional attitude with good timekeeping and presentation.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to use technology as part of the role.
Utility Arboriculture qualifications, including UA1, are preferred but not essential for all candidates, as training and development opportunities may be available for the right people.
Benefits Offered
We offer competitive self-employed rates, with earnings typically ranging from £30,000 - £55,000+ depending on experience, qualifications, and level of responsibility.
Payments are made monthly.
Regular standby, weekend, and out-of-hour work available at premium rates in addition to base earnings.
Excellent training and development opportunities with scope to progress as additional competencies are gained.
You will be working with a modern fleet of vehicles and new industry-leading machinery.
