Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and storage spaces
- Support with the proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health standards
- Assist with setting up dining areas or service stations as needed for smooth service flow
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent accidents
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with basic food handling and cleanliness practices is advantageous
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations can enhance your effectiveness in this role
