Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk while providing exceptional patient care. Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal use of the dentist’s time and resources.
- Manage patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area, creating a welcoming environment for patients.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with IT systems relevant to dental practices is advantageous.
- A background in nursing or patient care is beneficial but not essential.
- A friendly disposition and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service are essential for success in this role.
