We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for creativity and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering a range of hair services while ensuring that clients feel valued and satisfied with their experience. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior stylists and contribute to the overall success of our salon.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality hair cutting, colouring, and styling services tailored to individual client needs.
- Perform additional services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application as required.
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and offer professional advice on styles and products.
- Upsell salon products and services to enhance the client experience and boost sales.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client records.
- Mentor junior stylists, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their development within the salon.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive working environment and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in various hair techniques, including cutting, colouring, and styling.
- Experience in eyelash extensions and makeup application is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience in store management or mentoring is an advantage.
- Knowledge of barbering techniques is beneficial but not essential.
- A valid cosmetology licence or equivalent qualification is required.
