Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of infants, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment, fostering children's growth through engaging activities and personalised care. The role is ideal for someone with experience in childcare, nursery settings, or early childhood education who is passionate about making a positive impact on young lives.
Responsibilities
- implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's development and any concerns
- Organise resources efficiently to create an engaging and safe nursery environment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices through reflective practice and feedback
Skills
- Good working knowledge of early childhood development principles and childcare regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Childcare qualifications such as a minimum NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or above is mandatory.
- Knowledge of nursery experience, early childhood education frameworks, and safeguarding policies
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Valid driving licence is advantageous
