Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the potential of young children in a stimulating and safe environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, along with the ability to effectively communicate and manage classroom dynamics.
Hours:
We are looking for either a 3, 4 or 4.5 day a week commitment, 8am-6pm.
4.5 days is four long days (8am-6pm) and one half day (the half day is changeable weekly and is either 8-1pm or 1pm-6pm) totalling 41 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery space that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and families to support their educational journey.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively while promoting an inclusive environment for all children.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate young learners.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or excursions.
