We’re recruiting for a Site Manager to join our team based at our St Neots & Godmanchester site. If you have experience working in the Print and Packaging Industry this could be the role for you!
Key Areas of Responsibility
As a member of the Operational Management Team, the site leader will ensure that company policies, procedures and systems are fully implemented within areas of responsibility. These activities include manufacturing, engineering, health and safety, hygiene and quality control, recruitment, budget control and responsibility for all Operational site-based people through a team of Shift Managers.
- Creates a Safe working environment for all employees by ensuring that the Site meets the standards set out in the H&S Policy
- Ensures that quality standards as agreed with the Quality and Technical Managers are embedded throughout the Site and monitored, managed and achieved using KPI’s
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of the industry and market that the Board Division operates within
- Manages and controls expenditure to stay within budget constraints
- Ensures that the site structure is matched to business requirements and is resourced by the right calibre of people. Has living succession and development plans for all team members
- Has a ‘living’ Operations Plan that is integrated with the overall business plan and consistent with Group Strategy and Vision. This plan has been converted into appropriate operational streams that are owned by the Operational Teams
- Creates an environment and sets the tone so that individuals feel able to continually challenge the status quo, take risks and are encouraged to embrace change
- Establishes appropriate measures for the Site that are in line with Group Operations Plan / Strategy. Ensures that suitable targets are agreed and that these KPI’s are used at all levels throughout the Operations team to improve business performance
Key Requirements
- Comprehensive experience in printing / finishing
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of supervisors
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- Experience of a fast-moving changing environment
- Ability to manage a balanced agenda – SQDCCE
- A desire to continually improve and push boundaries
- Understanding of operations and best practices
