The Soft Brick Company is looking for an experienced and motivated Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our dynamic production team.
If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent sewing skills and take pride in producing high-quality work, we’d love to hear from you. You will play an important role in the manufacture of our products, working primarily with PVC and a variety of other fabrics to ensure every piece meets our high standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality finished products.
- Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and specifications.
- Maintain consistent quality.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Inspect finished items to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous workflow.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist (industrial experience preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of different stitching techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good time management.
- Strong sewing skills with the ability to handle various fabrics and materials efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, or technical instructions clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
