Central Recruitment is recruiting General Operatives on behalf of our client based in Falkirk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business.
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 4 x 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm)
The Role
As a General Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient production of high-quality products within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role involving manual handling, operating machinery, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating production machinery and equipment
- Using powered hand tools safely and effectively
- Carrying out manual handling duties
- Supporting manufacturing and production processes
- Conducting quality checks on finished products
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working to production, quality, and safety targets
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
- IOSH qualification advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of manufacturing performance measures would be beneficial
