We are looking for an Event Catering Team Member to join The Hungry Cowboy. The role involves cooking and serving food at festivals, markets, private events and pop-ups. The role will include driving company vehicles, setting up and breaking down event equipment, and assisting with food preparation and loading duties from our base in Cwmbran.
No two days are the same!
For the right candidate, this role has the potential to be a permanent placement. There are many hours available and there are soon to be many more!
The role:
- Travelling to various events
- Assisting with setting up the trailer/gazebos/catering vans ready for service
- Assisting with cleaning up and packing down at the end of service
- Prepping & serving food
- Taking customer orders and processing payments
- Working at our base in Cwmbran, cleaning, loading vehicles, prepping dishes
- As well as catering to the local events that we attend, occasionally, we will be staying away and serving at festivals and events up and down the country.
- Having a fun, bubbly, happy-go-lucky personality is essential. A huge part pf what we do is providing our customers with bags of charisma!
Experience
- Previous experience in catering or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Skills in guest services, restaurant operations, bartending, or culinary arts will be advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Applicant must have a full drivers licence, access to own vehicle would be a big bonus
Hours:
- Shifts times and locations change regularly. These will be discussed further with the applicant. (We are fully booked for the rest of the year so plenty of shifts available)
- Mostly weekend and work
- Mid week shifts will be available later in the year
Pay:
£13.50 - £15 per hour depending on experience.
