We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our Hardware & Cookshop team. The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service, assist customers with a wide range of hardware, DIY, household, and cookware products, and help ensure the store is well presented, fully stocked, and operates efficiently. Product knowledge or a willingness to learn about hardware, homeware, and kitchen products is essential.
- Greet customers warmly and provide a high standard of customer service.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable hardware, DIY, household, cookware, kitchenware, and homeware products.
- Handle cash, card, and account transactions in accordance with company procedures.
- Receive deliveries, unpack, check, and replenish stock.
- Maintain clean, tidy, attractive, and well-stocked shelves and displays throughout the store.
- Ensure products are correctly priced and labelled.
- Assist with merchandising, promotional displays, and seasonal product changes.
- Assist with stocktakes and inventory management.
- Handle customer enquiries, exchanges, returns, and complaints professionally.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a welcoming shopping environment and achieve store sales targets.
Pay: £12.80 per hour
