We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Kids Club Supervisor to lead our weekly after-school Puzzle, Games & Strategy Club at a primary school in Chiswick, London (W4).
The club is designed to give children a fun and stimulating environment where they can enjoy a variety of puzzles, strategy games, brain teasers, chess, Rubik's Cubes, code-breaking challenges and problem-solving activities. The focus is on learning through play, helping children develop logical thinking, creativity, concentration, perseverance and teamwork while having fun with their peers.
The clubs run weekly on the following days:
- Years 2–3: Mondays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- Years 4–6: Thursdays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm
The programme runs from week commencing 7th September 2026 to week commencing 4th December 2026, with a two-week half-term break.
Applicants are welcome to apply to supervise one or both clubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise groups of primary-aged children during the Puzzle, Games & Strategy Club.
- Organise and deliver a varied mix of puzzles, board and strategy games, brain teasers, chess activities, Rubik's Cubes, code-breaking and team challenges.
- Introduce new games and challenges in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
- Encourage children to think independently, solve problems, work together and persevere with challenges.
- Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, communication and friendly competition.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages, interests and abilities.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where all children feel comfortable participating.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents.
- Ensure games, resources and activity spaces are organised and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
- Experience working with primary-aged children in schools, after-school clubs, childcare, holiday clubs or similar settings.
- An interest in puzzles, board games, chess, strategy games or problem-solving activities would be advantageous.
- Confident supervising and engaging groups of children.
- Creative and able to introduce activities that keep children interested and challenged.
- Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, school staff and parents.
- A background in childcare, education, youth work, tutoring or activity clubs is desirable but not essential.
Pay: £30.00 per hour
