Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a solid background in restaurant or hospitality settings. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of service, and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front of house staff, including serving, hosting, and bar personnel
- Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area
- Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing coaching
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and service standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and handling
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is advantageous
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving, hospitality, and barista duties
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Exceptional communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Previous hotel or bar experience is desirable but not essential
