Serpecon are the UK’s only manufacturer and stockist of spirals, liners, drive shafts & geared motor units for all makes of screw conveyors. We manufacture, maintain, refurbish and install both shafted and shaft-less screw conveyors to clients throughout the UK water industry including Wastewater, Municipal Waste, and Recycling companies amongst others.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and personable Sales & Design Assistant to join our team in a fast growing, modern and innovative business. Working alongside a friendly and welcoming team, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant environment, supporting the team with their projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and have a passion for sales and design. This position is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills in sales and design, while contributing your skills within our growing team.
Duties
- Assist in design using programmes such as Solid Works and CAD.
- Provide expert advice on our products.
- Upsell additional products or services to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support the sales process by preparing quotations.
- Communicate effectively with clients.
- Keep detailed records of project progress.
Experience
- Previous experience in sales and design environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Solid Works; knowledge of CAD software is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and articulate ideas clearly.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating measurements, costs, and quantities.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
