Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable culinary experience within a lively hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Support with basic cooking tasks under supervision, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
- Serve food to customers or staff in accordance with established procedures when required
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating enthusiasm and a proactive attitude
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied responsibilities within the kitchen environment
