Oranmore Precast is one of the largest Precast Concrete Manufacturers in the UK with two state of the art pre-cast manufacturing facilities located in Brandon and Loud. With over 15 years’ experience we have the capacity to offer several precast products to the UK Market.
As part of our growth, we are looking for a Shunter Driver to join our Brandon site.
The Role
You will play a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trucks and trailers within our yard supporting production and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shunting and positioning HGVs, trailers, and vehicles within the yard
- Placing vehicles accurately at loading and unloading bays
- Physically moving equipment around the yard
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Following site traffic management plans and health & safety procedures
- Liaising with yard staff, production, and transport teams
- Keeping the yard area clean, safe, and well organised
- Reporting defects, hazards, or incidents promptly
Skills and Experience Required:
- Full, clean HGV licence (Category C essential; CE desirable)
- Experience shunting or driving HGVs in a yard or Industrial environment
- Experience of driving a Tractor would be desirable
- Strong awareness of health & safety
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well as part of a team
- This role will be outdoors, therefore, must be able to work in all types of weather.
