We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Sun Dancer. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food service management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and driving overall business success. The successful applicant will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment where both staff and guests feel valued and satisfied.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including service, food quality, and cleanliness.
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency with quality standards.
- Implement and uphold food safety regulations and hygiene practices across the venue.
- Organise staff schedules, assign duties, and monitor performance to optimise efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximise profitability.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Develop marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production processes and menu development.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent organisational skills.
