The Assistant Manager provides leadership and direction across the operation, ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional service throughout the guest journey. They coach, support, and mentor the team members to uphold high performance standards and foster continuous development. As a senior figure within the property, the Assistant Manager deputises for the Operations Manager, taking ownership of day-to-day operations and decision-making when required. They are responsible for driving organisational objectives in alignment with the Operations Manager and maintaining full accountability for their department’s performance. Acting as a custodian of the organisation’s values, the Assistant Manager promotes a positive and engaging employee experience while championing a guest centric culture at all times.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining brand standards, resolving guest concerns, monitoring feedback, and continuously improving service quality.
- Maintain a visible presence in guest areas, support long-stay guests, and use local knowledge to enhance guest satisfaction and sales opportunities.
- Manage employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, reviews, performance management, and development plans to foster a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Coordinate rota planning, staffing coverage, and compliance with company policies, including health, safety, hygiene, security, and emergency procedures.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed and operational issues are proactively managed.
- Build strong relationships across departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, reservations, and sales, to ensure smooth operations and guest services.
- Act as the main point of contact for the team, maintain clear stakeholder communication, and deputise for the Operations Manager when required.
- Manage purchase orders, conduct security checks, and oversee group bookings, arrivals, departures, room allocations, and special requests to ensure operational readiness and seamless service delivery.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
