Hours: 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (days & nights)

Our client is looking for a proactive Process Operative to join their team, reporting to the Shift Manager.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely processing animal food through milling, extrusion, drying, and coating, ensuring quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mills, extruders, dryers, coaters, coolers, and manage bulk storage, performing technical checks and recordings
- Load raw materials via FLT and by hand, transferring ingredients for processing
- Capture, segregate, and transfer waste for rework
- Maintain cleanliness and assist with wider site cleaning as needed
- Ensure products are processed safely, correctly, and in a clean environment
- Minimise waste and downtime by resolving asset issues or escalating to engineers
Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience, ideally in food, pet food, or FMCG
- Food Safety Level 2
- Awareness of BRC standards
- IOSH Working Safely certification
- Basic understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) tools
- Positive, solution-focused, and team-oriented attitude
- Honest, empathetic, and open to learning and change
