Job Introduction
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join the team at Focus Care Supported Living. This role focuses on supporting individuals with mental illness, learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that may challenge, helping them live independently and achieve their full potential within the community.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support, advocacy, and information to individuals receiving services
- Offer emotional and practical support to help service users manage daily life
- Assist with personal care tasks including hygiene, laundry, financial planning, and meal preparation
- Support individuals with medication in line with policies and procedures
- Encourage independence through structured support and guidance
- Develop, implement, and review care plans with service users and their representatives
- Promote a safe and supportive environment through health and safety awareness
- Support access to social, leisure, and community activities
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and external service providers
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings

Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care setting as a Support Worker or Care Worker (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or behaviours that may challenge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting
- Ability to carry out physical tasks associated with care work
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within a care environment
- Mandatory training in safeguarding, first aid, and medication administration (desirable)
- GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths (desirable)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS clearance
