We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispensing Optician Manager to lead our optical team with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of dispensing opticians and support staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage patient appointments, consultations, and eyewear fittings with professionalism and attention to detail
- Oversee the dispensing process, ensuring accuracy in lens selection, measurements, and adjustments
- Maintain comprehensive records of patient prescriptions, eyewear orders, and service history
- Collaborate with the optometrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated eye care solutions
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including laboratory procedures and anatomy knowledge requirements
- Lead inventory management by ordering lenses, frames, and accessories while minimizing waste and controlling costs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dispensing Optician or in a similar optical retail role with laboratory experience
- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy and lens technologies to advise patients effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex optical concepts clearly to patients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or licensing as required by local regulations for dispensing opticians
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in service quality
