Information for the role of Casual Domestic Assistant
£14.52 per hour (£12.96 per hour plus £1.56 holiday pay)
We are seeking friendly and reliable individuals to join our Housekeeping team on a casual basis, supporting the wider team in providing a high standard of Housekeeping service to Fellows, Students, Staff and Commercial clients. The team of casual workers typically assist the Housekeeping Department in respect of functions and also backfill for permanent Housekeeping staff. Please see the advert attachment for full details.
About Downing College
Founded in 1800, Downing College is a Cambridge University college set in 20 acres of grounds in the heart of Cambridge. Home to around 50 Fellows and 200 staff, the College is dedicated to supporting students' academic and personal development, while also operating a successful conference business with high-quality meeting, conference and theatre facilities.
Details of the role
We are seeking individuals with excellent customer service and communication skills. There are no guaranteed hours of work and there is no obligation to accept all hours that may be offered. The majority of hours available are Monday to Friday with a start time of between 9.00 am - 10.00 am. Applications are invited from individuals who are available to work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week and who are suitably experienced.
