Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify faults accurately
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to extend vehicle lifespan and improve reliability
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks requiring physical strength and proper safety procedures
- Follow detailed maintenance procedures and document all work performed clearly in service records
- Communicate effectively with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to ensure excellent customer service
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and repair manuals with ease
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Experience with equipment repair, assembly, maintenance routines, and heavy lifting tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions
