We are seeking a dedicated Communal Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across shared spaces within our community premises. The ideal candidate will ensure communal areas are kept tidy, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike. Duties
- Clean and sanitise communal areas such as hallways, stairwells, lounges, and shared facilities regularly.
- Dispose of waste responsibly, ensuring bins are emptied and areas remain clutter-free.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll in designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the relevant department.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition and ensure it is stored appropriately after use.
- Interact courteously with residents and visitors, providing assistance when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate movement between different communal areas or sites.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with colleagues and residents.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude towards residents and visitors.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and report issues clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to organisational standards.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
