We are seeking a skilled and friendly Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to our customers. Your role will also involve providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment to prepare beverages
- Ensure the quality and consistency of each beverage by following recipes and brewing techniques
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning coffee machines, counters, and seating areas
- Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Cashing up
- Managing staff on shift, assigning roles, ensuring weekly due dilegnece is completed.
Skills:
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques for creating simple snacks or pastries to accompany beverages
- Understanding of food safety regulations to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the workspace
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
