SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN NEPHROLOGY

The Renal Service for Tayside is based in Dundee and is currently delivered by a team of eleven consultants. We are looking to appoint an innovative, forward-thinking colleague to join the team to provide dialysis care to our Ninewells out-patient dialysis patients. The Renal Service covers Angus, Tayside, Perth and Kinross and part of Northeast Fife. This post is based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, and will contribute to the care of patients receiving chronic out-patient dialysis.
The appointee will be supported by consultant staff and will work in collaboration with an advanced nurse practitioner, the renal multi-disciplinary team as well as communicating directly with primary care. The role will involve medical review of 4 shifts of dialysis patients over 2 days each week as well as regularly contributing to a dialysis MDT meeting. The appointee will work directly with the 3 consultants with responsibility for the Ninewells dialysis cohort of patients.
Candidates should posses MRCP and be GMC registered.
Hours of work are 16 hours / 4 PAs per week.
