The Role
Inspecting, checking, and grading used photographic equipment coming into the business through customer part-exchange and buy-ins. If you are a quick learner with an interest in photography and videography who is keen to work in an exciting, fast paced and friendly office environment then we would love to hear from you. The Person
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and technically minded with a positive outlook, with a keen interest and knowledge of cameras, lenses and other photographic equipment. Highly organised and very attentive to detail. You will have excellent written English and be able to produce accurate copy using relevant photographic terminology.
An interest in photography, and a natural enthusiasm for acquiring technical knowledge of cameras, lenses and accessories, is an absolute requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Physical checking and quality grading of stock items - commonly digital cameras, film cameras, lenses and other accessories
- Recording and updating key product data and specifications on our in-house software
- Cleaning the exterior and interior of the item (usually sensors), sourcing/replacing consumables and accessories if needed (e.g. lens caps, batteries etc)
- Listing items for sale on our website – photographing the item, writing detailed and accurate product descriptions and uploading data to the site
- Boxing items ready for sale, with careful packaging & price information
- Ensuring stock is handled safely and securely at all times
