We are a successful 3-branch tile and bathroom business looking for a hardworking Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operator to join our team. You will be the face of our business out on the road, while also playing a vital role in keeping our warehouse running smoothly.
This is a physical but rewarding role. Beyond just driving from A to B, you will be providing excellent customer service on the doorstep and working closely with our warehouse team to manage stock safely and efficiently.
The Vehicle & Environment
You will be driving our 3.5 tonne panel van . Because we sell tiles and bathroom suites, the goods you will be handling are large, bulky, and heavy. We are looking for someone who doesn’t shy away from physical work and takes pride in delivering items safely and securely.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Driving & Delivery: Safely operating our 3.5t panel van to deliver orders to customers’ homes and sites, ensuring goods arrive on time and in perfect condition.
- Customer Service: Being the polite, friendly face of the business when dropping off orders. A positive attitude at the customer's door is essential.
- Heavy Lifting & Manual Handling: Safely loading and unloading large, heavy items (tiles and bathroom goods).
- Warehouse Operations: When you aren't on the road, you will assist the team with stock rotation, picking orders, loading vehicles, and keeping the warehouse tidy and organized.
- Forklift Operation: Using a counterbalance forklift to safely move pallets and heavy stock around the yard and warehouse.
About You
This role suits an energetic team player who likes a varied workday and takes pride in doing a job well.
- Essential: A clean UK Driving License.
- Essential: Physically fit and fully capable of handling heavy manual labor on a daily basis.
- Essential: Flexibility to work weekends and take on longer shifts when route demands require it.
- Highly Desirable: A counterbalance forklift license. Don't worry if yours has expired - we are more than happy to help the right candidate renew it!
- Personality: You are polite, approachable, and level-headed. You can handle the physical demands of the job with a positive, can-do attitude.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
