At Conscious we are a well-established seafood wholesaler based in Bristol, committed to sourcing local, seasonal and sustainably caught fish directly from the boats that land them in Devon and Cornwall, where we deliver fresh to top restaurants across Devon and Somerset. Alongside our wholesale operations, we also run the Conscious Fish Shop in Nailsea, bringing high-quality, responsibly sourced seafood to local communities.
We are looking for an organised, reliable and communicative individual to join our small but passionate team as a Sales Administrator responsible for taking down and processing evening orders for next day deliveries. This role is perfect for a first-year Bristol-based university student looking for a part-time job alongside their studies. The hours are structured so they will not clash with lectures, and your weekends will be free!
You will be the vital link between our restaurant customers and our filleting team, taking evening orders via WhatsApp, checking them for accuracy, and turning them into clear, organised order sheets ready for our team filleting team to receive who start in the early hours every morning.
The company is expanding month on month, and there are always opportunities for development and growth for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Receiving evening orders from wholesale customers via WhatsApp and E-mail.
- Upselling stock items to customers during your shift - this is done predominantly through WhatsApp.
- Interpreting orders accurately, and contacting customers directly to clarify anything unclear.
- Logging and organising all orders into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Converting the spreadsheet into a clear, logical order sheet for the filleting team, formatted as a Word document and a WhatsApp text.
Requirements
- Ability to work remotely in an effective manner
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude
- Prior experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy
