Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van or commercial vehicle to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service during deliveries
- Load and unload items carefully, often involving heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse or storage areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with company policies
- Support warehouse activities when not on delivery routes, including stock organization and inventory management
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving and transportation logistics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving vans or larger commercial vehicles preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling bulky or heavy items during deliveries or warehouse tasks
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures, inventory management, and basic vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
