Role Overview
This role is for a self‑employed commercial cleaner responsible for delivering high‑quality cleaning services across several locations. Cleaners must be able to meet strict scheduled cleaning times, as each site requires cleaning within specific access windows. Reliability and punctuality are essential.
You must be able to travel between sites in your own vehicle and work independently while maintaining consistent standards.
Two‑Week Fixed Rota
WEEK 1 - Monday – 5 hours total
- Location 1: 7.30am–9.30am (2 hrs)
- Location 2: 10.00am–1.00pm (3 hrs)
Tuesday – 7.5 hours total
- Location 1: 11.00am–1.30pm (2.5 hrs)
- Location 2: 2.00pm–4.00pm (2 hrs)
- Location 3: 4.00pm–7.00pm (3 hrs)
Friday – 6.5 hours total
- Location 1: 11.00am–1.30pm (2.5 hrs)
- Location 2: 1.45pm–3.45pm (2 hrs)
- Location 3: 4.15pm–6.15pm (2 hrs)
WEEK 2 - Monday – 7 hours total
- Location 1: 7.30am–9.30am (2 hrs)
- Location 2: 10.00am–1.00pm (3 hrs)
- Location 3: 1.15pm–3.15pm (2 hrs)
Tuesday – 4.5 hours total
- Location 1: 11.00am–1.30pm (2.5 hrs)
- Location 2: 2.00pm–4.00pm (2 hrs)
Friday – 6.5 hours total
- Location 1: 11.30am–2.00pm (2.5 hrs)
- Location 2: 2.15pm–4.15pm (2 hrs)
- Location 3: 4.45pm–6.45pm (2 hrs)
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces, cleaning internal windows and frames, and woodwork.
- Cleaning kitchens, washrooms, communal areas, and general working spaces.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly.
- Reporting any access or maintenance issues.
- Maintaining consistent, high standards of cleanliness.
- Strictly adhering to scheduled cleaning times.
Essential Requirements
- Must be reliable and able to meet strict schedule times
- Must drive own vehicle and have adequate vehicle insurance and tax and cover own fuel costs.
- Must provide own uniform (smart and presentable black uniform).
- Must provide own cleaning products and equipment.
- Must hold a valid DBS certificate.
- Must hold relevant insurances, including:
- Public liability insurance
- Must operate as self‑employed and be able to invoice.
- Must commit to all fixed rota times.
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Payment
- Fixed hourly rate
- Paid weekly or monthly upon invoice
- Travel time between sites not included.
