We are seeking a friendly and efficient Till Staff member to join our busy team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth operation at the point of sale. Duties
- Operate the till system accurately and efficiently during transactions.
- Assist customers with their purchases, answer queries, and provide exceptional service.
- Packing food items as required, maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.
- Upsell products where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the till area and surrounding space.
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage cash, card payments, and receipts with precision.
- Support with basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen area when needed.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and calculating totals accurately.
- Experience in food preparation or culinary work is desirable but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.
