Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living, and nursing homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those we support, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Support individuals with dementia care and behaviour management strategies.
- Facilitate mobility and transportation for clients to appointments or social activities.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Skills
- Experience in hospice care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is essential.
- Proficiency in first aid techniques is desirable
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and behaviour management strategies is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Driver’s licence - own vehicle required.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
