Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition for our customers. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre rotations
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks
- Conduct assembly of vehicle components as required
- Carry out equipment repairs and ensure all tools are maintained in good working order
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary, particularly when handling parts or components
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's needs
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in vehicle assembly and maintenance practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex automotive issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients
- Previous experience in equipment repair is advantageous
