we are looking for a cook to join our small residential care home in Hawarden cooking for our 17 residents. food is very important part of our residents day and we are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing delicious, appetising home cooked meals. This is more than a simple cooking position we would our cook to become part of our small team and take interest in what our residents enjoy eating.
The role will include
preparing and cooking fresh appetising meals for our residents
baking homemade cakes and puddings, desserts
helping plan varied and interesting menus
talking to residents and taking their likes and dislikes and suggestions into account
catering for individual dietary needs and modified diets where required
maintaining high standard of cleanliness, food hygiene and kitchen organisation
working with the care team to make birthdays, celebrations and special occasions enjoyable for our residents.
planning the weekly food order
we are small home so we are looking so we are looking for someone friendly and approachable who will get to know our residents and understand that mealtimes are an important and enjoyable part of the day.
Previous experience is an advantage but most important we want someone who is genuine and who genuine enjoys cooking for others and taking a pride in their food that they serve that it looks and tastes good.

rate of pay starting at £12.75 increased for experience and qualifications
over 18 please.
