Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Traffic Marshall to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on our site. In this vital role, you will manage access points, direct traffic flow, and uphold safety protocols to create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Responsibilities
- Control access to the site by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Direct vehicle movements within designated areas to prevent congestion and ensure safety.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, site staff, and emergency responders using effective communication skills.
- Conduct routine inspections of entry and exit points to ensure security measures are upheld.
- Assist in managing traffic flow during peak hours or special events to minimize delays.
- Record all vehicle movements, visitor entries, and incidents accurately in logs or reports.
- Support maintenance activities related to traffic management equipment and signage as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in management or supervision roles is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of site maintenance procedures related to traffic control equipment is advantageous.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record is required for operating or assisting with vehicle movements.
- Strong communication skills are essential for clear coordination with team members and external parties.
- Ability to remain alert, proactive, and responsive in a dynamic environment is crucial for success in this role.
Pay: From £16.75 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card (required)
