KBG Chambers are a longstanding common law set of Chambers covering the South West peninsula. We have over 50 members practising from modern facilities in Plymouth, Truro and Exeter.
Chambers is seeking to recruit a criminal clerk, to be based in Plymouth, our central clerking facility. The successful candidate will be joining an established and experienced multidisciplinary team, headed by our Senior Clerk.
As a Criminal Clerk you will assist the Senior Criminal Clerk, Clare Aitken, and can be expected to assist with diary and case management for criminal practitioners, including some of the busiest juniors on the Western Circuit, fee billing, fee negotiation, collating court listings, liaising with court listing services and marketing the team.
Chambers are seeking candidates with an enthusiastic and flexible working attitude, who would be able to work well and demonstrate initiative as part of our established clerking team. A proven track record of working independently is a prerequisite and an ability to problem solve quickly is very much desired. Candidates must also possess good communication skills, and IT familiarity. Knowledge of law is not required.

Full time – 9am – 5.30pm
Holiday Entitlement - 29 days plus festive leave and bank holidays in addition. Additional day added after 10 years service.
